8. Target yourself to a given job. Incorporate that job or industry's jargon into your resume as best you can. Get feedback on your resume from somebody who already has or has held the job in which you are interested.

9. Be ready to succinctly answer the question, “What special attributes do you bring to this job that should make me see you as the best candidate possible?”

10. Always view the current job as a rung on the ladder leading to the next opportunity. What skills will you get out of it, and will you get from that job the things necessary to succeed in your next career move?
