Guaranteed Résumés
This week's tip will help you proofread your résumé so that it's completely
error-free. Before sending your résumé to employers, you must eliminate all
misspelled words and mistakes in punctuation.
Here are the 3 most common mistakes to watch for:
1) Inconsistent spacing between words and sections;
2) Inconsistent use of state abbreviations; and
3) Missing or incorrect use of punctuation marks, such as quotes and
commas.
Watch out for these big 3 mistakes. And make sure you show your résumé to
at least 2 friends for review, because another set of eyes will almost
always see something that you missed.
