Our mission:
|
Since its founding in 1975, The New England Center for Children (NECC®) has provided state-of-the-art education and individualized treatment for children and adolescents with autism and related disabilities in its residential and day school programs.
Children at NECC have a broad range of functioning levels and varying degrees of disability. NECC uses the proven principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We apply these principles of learning as we examine the unique needs of each child, and build specific instruction to teach new skills and develop positive social behaviors.
The Autism Curriculum Encyclopedia, ACE®, is a computerized curriculum database developed by our clinicians to strengthen our educational programs. The ACE allows us to access us to access NECC assessment tools, curriculum, and data analysis programs for each student. Highly individualized treatment is the foundation of NECC's worldwide reputation and record of success.
NECC of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
With the support of the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, NECC has opened a school in Abu Dhabi which will replicate the comprehensive range of services and graduate education available in our U.S. center.
On-site master degree programs place NECC at the forefront of Professional development. NECC collaborates with Simmons College to offer a Master of Science degree in Special Education.
