Position Description | The Boeing Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program is seeking an experienced electrical designer for the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test organization. The group supports the design, documentation, fabrication, and integration of electrical and/or electro-mechanical test equipment and test system configurations for Huntsville, AL; Vandenberg Air-Force Base, CA; and Ft. Greely, AK activities. AutoCAD or UG experience is required; Catia and/or Rhino experience is a plus. Knowledge of Boeing Design and Release Processes is preferred. Develop, maintain and release electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards for multiple customers. Proposes innovative solutions for emergent technical issues. Uses design tools to document and maintain configuration control of designs. Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex or specialized systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and integrating systems elements. Directs validation of complex engineering system design and functionality. Leads the process for product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to complex. Coordinates activities and products with cross-functional groups, internal partners and external suppliers. Reviews and assigns work to others. Works under consultative direction. | ||

Education and/or Experience | AA degree in related discipline and 9 - 14 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. | ||
