This position insures that the migration of software component requests being sent to the Program Security Specialist in Information Systems Operations is valid, error free, and migrated into the appropriate environment. The CCC will work with the Program Security Specialist insuring the synchronization of concurrent development activities. Functions
- Coordinates the migration of programs, JCL or script, procedures and load modules from production to test/development libraries and from test/development to production libraries for systems running on IBM, HP, and client/server platforms.
- Verifies the change control E-form is correct, in relation to corresponding modules matching (such as the load module corresponds to the source module)
- Insures modules are being migrated to the correct libraries
- Verifies syntax
- Verifies DB2 components
- Insures questions concerning notification, testing, answered.
- Coordinates source code modifications that affect multiple departments.
- Notifies the on call staff of all modules migrated into production.
- Processes the Master Program Form, to maintain an inventory of source code.
- Assists in training I/S personnel as to libraries and requirements of change control E-forms.
- Coordinates the migration of batch and on-line programs between the various regions.
- Reviews JCL overrides and files or returns for correction.
- Monitors history of I/SO-24 forms for 1 year for audit purposes.
- Confirms migrations took place successfully.
- Serves as a consultant to project leaders in selecting and completing change control E-forms.
- Coordinates concurrent developments.
- Provides assistance to on-call personnel.
- Four year degree or equivalent experience.
- Thorough working knowledge of Systems and Programming functions related to new development and maintenance of application software. Hands-on experience with workflow for maintenance of production, test, and development libraries for multiple environments.
- Knowledge of contents of build packages for preparation of application software builds for test and production environments.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures associated with software migration to test and productions.
- Working knowledge of Mainframe, UNIX and Windows command languages (JCL, UNIX scripts, etc.) and ability to execute utility programs for these environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with solid experience using MS Office tools.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment through effective multi-tasking and priority setting.
- Understanding of configuration management (CM) concepts related to software deliverables, based on CMMI is highly desirable.
