Summary
Support the development and implementation of communications programs to ensure employee understanding of enterprise-wide programs and corporate actions, to sell company products to employers and individuals directly and through brokers, and to explain to members how to effectively use company products in order to meet Association Brand Measures goals for the corporation.

Functions
? Deliver consistent writing that achieves precise marketing and communications objectives and which meets or exceeds client expectations and departmental standards.
A. Produce written communications that are clear, grammatically and mechanically correct, idiomatic, complete, well organized, logical, and in a writing style appropriate to the assigned project; requires moderate corrections and shows progress toward the state of consistent self-correction.
B. Provide creative concepts that meet objectives with minimal supervision.
C. Produce a full range of advertising, sales promotion, marketing, public
relations, and other corporate audience communications; work on projects of low to moderate size and complexity.
D. Increase working knowledge of products, markets, customers, competitors
and strategies through skillful research, reporting and interviewing techniques to ensure accurate, up-to-date communications.
E. Writes effectively, requiring moderate supervision and moderate revisions,
with a balanced trade-off between fast turnaround and high quality results.
? Ensure that client marketing and communications needs are sharply defined and successfully met and provide excellent service.
A. Contribute to the execution of established marketing objectives through
development of communications projects.
B. Cultivate an open, professional relationship with few assigned client contacts
and diplomatically resolve conflicts, disagreements and/or problems that may
arise.
c. As part of a communications team, help provide responsive, timely, professional and relevant client service, including creative expertise.
d. Continuously question every project to determine how it will help achieve client financial and business objectives and how Communications can maximize value.
? As part of a team, effectively manage projects to assure satisfactory completion and delivery within established deadlines and at an appropriate cost.
A. Contribute to the establishment of creative direction for projects by analyzing project objectives and contributing creative recommendations which define the scope of the project.
B. Contribute to the evaluation of project needs and requirements, matching
them with the most competitive, practical design and production alternatives.
C. Work with both internal and external production sources to ensure, with
some supervision, the timely progression of assigned projects through
planning, writing, design, printing and distribution.
D. Manage communication projects from creation to completion, developing and
maintaining (with some supervision) adequate controls and check points for
project scheduling and follow-up, client presentations, reviews and approvals,
legal compliance and cost control.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field.
? A minimum of three years of experience as a full-time professional communicator.
? Exceptional writing, client relations and project management skills.
? A high level of energy and initiative.
