We are seeking an experienced Accountant to come work for our Fortune 1000 Public Company.

Responsibilities:

Supports financial decision-making information by analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. 

* Meets finance operational standards by contributing information to strategic financial plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements. 

* Meets budget requirements by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. 

*Accomplishes accounting requirements by designing and maintaining accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger, payroll, billing, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; supervising bank reconciliations and closing processes; supporting annual budget process; developing and maintaining forecasts and models; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) 

* Establishes financial condition by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and consolidated statements, and supporting schedules; comparing actual results to budget projections; developing summaries and interpretations. 

*Improves financial condition by analyzing financial reports and variances; revising accounting policies and practices and internal control procedures. 

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging accounting practices ;attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. 

*Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Preferred:
Prior Audit, Public accounting, Financial services, real estate or financial services experience. CPA / MBA / CFA or Master of Accountancy.
