 Position Description:  

Business Development Manager for a major Retail Software and Services Company in the Consumer messaging space the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the Development of all Business Development activity within the Region. This role will work report directly to the VP Sales and work with the VP Services to ensure complete collaboration and high penetration of Prospects.

 Experience and Skills 
  • 5-12 years successful experience in Retail Sales, specifically selling Technology and Services to Retail Executives
  • Retail background a must
  • Knowledge of in-store Retail practices-centered around Consumer Messaging (Marketing, Promotions, Signing, and Price Change execution) a plus
  • Knowledge of in-store Technology ( Handhelds) a plus
  • Ability to influence and sell effectively in different functional areas at the Retailer and clearly communicate a present to all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work independently within a deadline-driven environment
  • Deep experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Pricing, Merchandising related to Store Signage, Marketing related to Store Signage, Signs and Labels Print Production, Signs and Labels Store Execution and any Business Process work involved in these areas a plus
  • Work with other Sign Software Companies, Store Printer Companies (HP, Lexmark, Etc.) or 3rd party Vendors that support Retail Consumer Messaging a plus.
Qualifications/Requirements: 
  • Sell $1M in Revenue Year 1
  • Oversee, facilitate and administer all the Business Development activities for Prospects
  • Create and prospect leads
  • Maintain and utilize relevant Marketing Materials where necessary
  • Create and update key Business Development reports
  • Provide key point of contact for all Prospects/Customer
