Responsibilities

 

  • Generates revenue and profit margin for EMC in their assigned accounts and territories.
  • Works closely with a network of channel partners to ensure the successful marketing of EMC solutions.

  • Prospecting & Planning: Identifies high potential sales opportunities (with customer and Area Field Manager) and prioritizes them. Builds rapport and educates customer with the use of internal and external resources.

  • Qualifying & Analysis: Leads and develops account strategy using customer’s growth plans, budget, and project timelines.

  • Proposing & Closing: Submits and presents the customer with a finalized collaborative proposal with solutions, justifications, and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin.

  • Validating Value: Engages sales management to validate the business impact with the CXO level.

  • Building a Business Case: Articulates EMC Value and provides an overview of EMC products and services.

  • Implementing: Oversees the implementation of the proposed solution by the integrated account team.

  • Insures high post sales satisfaction that enables repeat business with customers



    Experience and Education

     

  • 4 year degree and 5 to 10 years experience required in a direct sales role.

  • Experience selling enterprise storage is a plus.

  • 3+ years of achievement and consistently ranked in the top 20% of your sales organization.

  • Proven consultative selling skills with the ability to manage multiple sales campaigns and complex sales campaigns.

  • The ability to present highly complex technical and business concepts to all levels of an organization.

  • A Proven track record of 5 years of progressive accomplishments within your field of work.

    Please meet most (if not all) of the following criteria if submitting your resume:

  • Have been with your current/last employer for at least one year.

  • Have had less than 2 employers in the last 5 years.

  • Have consistently met quota by at least 100% in an outside sales role (made Club, received sales awards, etc.).

  • Have been in a transactional based sales role and/or have worked in a technical outside sales role selling into many accounts.

  • Have previously work in an outside sales role hunting and cold calling and have a strong desire to continue doing this.
