Position Description:

Position Overview: 

This strategic senior marketing professional will be responsible for the overall development and ongoing management of marketing Cisco solutions for our clients. As a key member of the Marketing team, this manager will be responsible for overseeing all marketing aspects of the assigned program. This includes serving as a liaison to customers, vendors, Product Managers, and Sales Teams that enable sales.

Solutions Program Responsibilities: 
  • Understand the drivers of the assigned technology’s market-including trends, competitors, challenges, new product releases, etc. –that may affect reseller and revenues and margins. To stay in tune with the ever-changing marketplace, participate in 3 to 5 face-to-face customers meetings on a quarterly basis.
  • Articulate the Value Proposition to customers, vendors and internal employees
  • Work with Sales to develop or adopt marketing programs, promotions, promotions, campaigns or related online tools that will increase membership and usage.
  • Create and execute an annual strategic marketing plan to promote, measure, and optimize sales (including Cisco SBM, Wireless, Services, etc.) The plan will include recruitment and onboarding of new resellers.
  • Work in tandem with Product Sales management to develop annual and quarterly vendor marketing plans.
  • Develop an annual training curriculum and offer reseller training sessions (Tele Track, Fast Track, Web Track, on demand video, etc.) designed around reseller input and feedback. Track results and feedback quarterly.
  • With ongoing input from current reseller customers, develop, implement, measure and test, and evaluate the results of reseller demand generation campaigns designed to increase sales and margins in key solution areas.
  • With ongoing input and feedback from the Sales Team, develop, implement measure, test and evaluate the results of reseller recruitment campaigns designed to increase the customer’s base.
  • Utilize Services to develop targeted end user demand generation programs or events for current resellers.
  • Conduct internal training with Sales and Marketing Teams for all new campaign launches and promotions
  • Contribute content to monthly reseller e-newsletter.
  • Work in collaborations with Marketing and Product Sales teams to develop quarterly budgets; gather ROI and other related measurements to show as proof of performance to all co-ops spend.
  • Serve as liaison to the Corporate Marketing team to obtain content enabling publication of the annual Global Solutions Handbook.
  • Using a predefined Marketing Scorecard, provide monthly and quarterly reports on program activities, results, successes, challenges, and ROI to the Director of Marketing.
 Marketing Responsibilities: 
  • Attend all related Partner meetings or conferences annually.
  • Update the Marketing Calendar with program events on an ongoing basis.
  • Attend Marketing meetings
  • Attend program sales meetings
  • Support all events (Winners’ Circle, BDX, Federal Tradeshow, etc.) by recruiting vendor sponsors and communication critical information to vendors before, during and after each event.
  • Collaborate with other Program Solution Manages and teams to execute programs, campaigns or events that cross all business practices.
Qualifications/Requirements: 
  • 10-15 years of marketing leadership experience in a Channel Marketing, Distribution Marketing or Reseller Marketing Management role.
  • Marketing of Cisco solutions preferred but not required
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Management, Journalism, Communications, General Business or a related field.
  • Self –motivated with demonstrated ability to manage strategic program and drive sales results in a complex work environment
  • Strong management skills with the ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent 1:1 and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
