Kaplan Real Estate Company, Inc. is looking for a top level accounting and finance executive to join its fast paced team. This individual should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and be a Certified Public Accountant. A Masters degree would be beneficial, but is not a requirement. Candidates should possess 7 or more years of accounting experience with increased responsibility roles. Past experience in Commercial Real Estate is a plus. The candidate selected will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of all financial and some business aspects of the operation. Some of the responsibilities include financial analysis for development projects, coordinating and managing financial relationships with various lending institutions, cash management, and oversight of corporate accounting. The executive will closely oversee our controller to assure timely account reconciliations, payroll processing, collection of rent and pass-through charges, and processing of accounts payable. Other regular responsibilities will include regular reporting to management of tenant payments, loan status and cash position. The successful candidate must be a team player, self motivated, and have strong leadership and organization skills.
