Management
, coordinate, evaluate and manage annual fiscal operating and capital equipment budgets for the Division(s); evaluate and manage operating revenue/expense variances monthly and prepare written reports.
and maintain systems to capture all charges in order to maximize reimbursement for services rendered. Research and develop opportunities for revenue development for all services.
methods for fiscal analysis, conduct financial and quantitative analysis and monitor existing or proposed programs and services.
and maintain a working relationship with the management of appropriate billing services.
and approve purchasing requisitions, leases, vendor contracts and service contracts.
fiscal utilization of scope of services.

Administration
the selection, development, motivation, evaluation and discipline of reporting personnel. Make job requirements and goals for each position clear to employees and provide sufficient training to achieve the desired level of competency; document evidence of competence on a annual basis.
the development, implementation and assessment of departmental policies, procedures and philosophy as consistent with Cincinnati Children's policies and values.
that work areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective and efficient environment for employees, patients and families. Maintain currency in all departmental policies, procedures, standards and job descriptions. Coordinate and document attendance at required Cincinnati Children's training sessions, including radiation safety, laboratory safety, bloodborne pathogens and OSHA. Enforce compliance with Infection Control policies and procedures.
both internal and external customer service through the development and implementation of programs and standards which reflect that goal.
implementation of continuing education goals of the department. Provide and coordinate education for personnel, patients or families through structured presentations and unstructured interactions.
and manage staffing and scheduling process including the control and distribution of present and future FTE's. Ensure that services and consultation are regularly and conveniently available to meet the needs of Cincinnati Children's patients as determined by the medical staff.
appropriate FTE support in the clinical areas of the department.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Capable of relating to diverse age and demographic backgrounds. Analytical ability sufficient to evaluate data, make judgments and recommendations regarding operations and budgets, design protocols and generate well developed business reports. Possess knowledge of related outside regulating agencies, roles and responsibilities and of procedures and regulations specific to the assessment, care, patient rights and control of information for infants, children and adolescents. Demonstrated organization, leadership and management skills.
EDUCATION\WORK EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline required. MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years experience; prior operational and supervisory experience within a complex medical center preferred.
