Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated is looking for an AIX System Analyst to fill a position for our client in Albuquerque, NM. This is a 4 -5 week assignment. Location: Ideally, we would like this person to travel to Fort Worth (where the data center that will be closed is located) for 2 days. Then this person would travel to Albuquerque (where the services and processes will migrate) and spend the following month helping to bring the servers up online, connecting them to the network, working with the applications support staff to test and verify programs and data, and allow 2 members of the SAIC infrastructure support staff to shadow him/her and ask questions so that they can take over administration of the AIX boxes once this person leaves. Need an experienced AIX sysadmin who is familiar with AIX and AIX We have old equipment being moved from the Ft. Worth data center (which is being decommissioned) to the Albuquerque data center. We need this person to spend the first 2 days of the assignment in the Fort Worth center, familiarizing himself/herself with the equipment and talking to the folks there who support it now. Then the equipment will be moved to Albuquerque and this person will follow. This person will oversee/perform tasks required to get the equipment onto the network and test the applications and data and access with developers in Texas. There are two individuals in the Albuquerque office who will shadow this person in order to gain expeirence in AIX systems administration. We expect that this person will spend up to 4 weeks in the Albuquerque data center assisting in the migrations and working with the two new administrators. No 3rd Party Vendors.
