Crichton College invites applications for the position of Director of Admissions. Founded in 1941, Crichton College is Memphis’ only four-year non-denominational Christian liberal arts college. Our mission is to educate students for life, teaching them to think critically, grow spiritually, and change our world. Crichton is located in the heart of Memphis, TN and is uniquely positioned, both geographically and demographically, to reach out to the city. Over 1,000 students attend Crichton College, and Crichton is proud of its diverse student body, staff and faculty.
The Director of Admissions will report directly to the Vice President of Advancement and Professional Studies and will provide visionary leadership in the development, implementation and achievement of strategic recruitment, retention and graduation goals of the college. Crichton College has recently reorganized the college’s Admissions Office, and the Director will have the opportunity to build an admissions team, organize a new recruiting system and structure and to have immediate impact on the organization of the Admissions Office. The Director of Admissions will be responsible for key recruitment and marketing strategies, enrollment projections, goals, budgets, policies, procedures and guidance for the Admissions Office.  The Director will be working in collaboration with colleagues across the campus and engage with current students, faculty, administrators, and alumni in the recruitment and enrollment of each class.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, a proven record in enrollment management, preferably with adult student populations, a thorough understanding of student information systems, experience with financial aid, an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and a high level of competence with technological systems. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and a commitment to developing collaborative relationships are required. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible enrollment experience is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
