Do you have Island Pacific experience in a retail environment? Are you interested in managing a newly developed team in Nike's expanding Retail division?

As our Application Engineering Manager in Retail IT, you'll work as part of the Retail IT team in developing and supporting Nike's expansion of its US and Global Retail presence. You'll be a key contributor in all aspects of Nike Retail business support and development. You'll manage an application development team in all phases of the software development life cycle, including production support. You'll mentor your team to analyze, recommend, review, design, build, test, install, integrate and support a full array of vendor supplied and internally developed systems. You'll also lead your team in adopting, implementing and following standard "best practices" (, SDLC, ITIL). You'll provide your team with coaching, development, motivation and performance reviews. You'll be responsible for managing key vendor relationships. You'll also ensure your responsibilities meet relevant compliancy standards like Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI. You'll work with the Program Management office to determine the feasibility, scope and business requirements of proposed business requests. You'll also be responsible in planning, scheduling work and resource management. You'll work closely with the QA team to ensure the delivery of quality solutions and the maintenance of a robust production environment. In addition, you'll work in a team environment where you'll be encouraged to express technical leadership, strategic and tactical directions, assist in decision making and openly share information across the team.

Requirements for the position include:

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
? 6 years' professional development or technical experience on the iSeries platform, using CL, RPG, ILE RPG and/or SYNON
? 2 years' additional IT experience in lieu of a degree
? 2 years' experience in a management or lead role of an application development and/or support team, including HR and mentoring responsibilities for technical staff
? Proven written and verbal communication skills that can be confidently and effectively exercised up and down the organization
? Experience supporting Retail Merchandise Management Systems is preferred
? Experience working in all phases of a software development methodology and application support model
? Proven experience learning and adapting quickly to new technical platforms, tools and business situations
? Knowledge of Retail Business Processes is preferred
? Experience complying and implementing Sarbanes-Oxley controls and Data Security Standards (, PCI DSS and FACTA) is preferred
? Experience effectively managing and working with offshore development and support staff is a plus
? Experience with Island Pacific or SAP Retail Merchandising Systems is a plus
? Experience managing vendor relationships and service performance is a plus
? Experience in Framework using , C#.net and Web Services is a plus
