Worldwide technology leader needs an Engineering Technician to join its team. Primary job will be data collection on multiple test systems in a small lab environment. This includes running various benchmarks and collecting power and performance data on various system configurations. Secondary job function will include general lab maintenance, setting up systems, etc.. ESSENTIAL SKILLS (MUST HAVE): * Follow instructions with little direct supervision * Fluent English (written and oral) * Efficient & disciplined to keep tests running on various platforms in a timely manner * Familiar with Microsoft OS (XP, Vista) * Capable of installing OS, drivers, software, etc. for setting up a test system * Knowledgeable in Motherboard Hardware basics, like installing graphics cards, audio cards, CPU, memory, etc. * Knowledgeable in Excel, able to do basic functions to process power data PREFERRED SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE, BUT NOT MANDITORY): * Basic solder skills. Be able to solder wires onto components for power measurements. * Experience running Benchmarks and other performance software * Experience in collecting power data on Motherboards AA degree in Engineering Technology or Computer Science is preferred.
