Chief Architect of RF/HW Engineering. Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering and minimum of 10 years experience highly desirable. A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. The Lead Architect of RF and HW engineering will build and lead a team of developers, foster innovation, manage the architectural roadmap, introduce simulation tools, best practice RF engineering processes, design standards, and ensure performance while maintaining cost objectives. Proven track record of meeting schedule, performance, and cost objectives. Experience in communications hardware design (analog and digital). Experience in RF and high frequency layout techniques up to 1 GHz. Knowledge of antennas, PA's, receivers, transmitters, filters, etc. RFID experience is a major plus and is highly desirable Job functions: Serves as the top RF expert for the company. Performs detailed schematic design, computer simulation, and verification of RF and Mixed signal blocks such as Mixers, LNA, Filters and Synthesizers. Supervise layout designers and review layouts. Leads and debugs design flow and issues. Evaluates and characterize prototype units. Defines test specifications and interfaces with test engineering for production testing. Provides technical advice, direction and assistance to developers as necessary. Defines, delivers, documents, maintains and champions the RF hardware technology strategy and architectural documents. Originates new concepts or innovative approaches without guidance from others. Proven track record of meeting schedule, performance, and cost objectives.
