This position reports into a Sr. Manager in Mahwah, NJ with a dotted line to the Area Vice President of Sales in Raleigh, NC. Support the business initiatives of Recon Sales by providing both proactive and reactive financial insight, analysis and perspective. Consult sales management on all financial matters and implement actions to achieve targets. Work with the Area Vice Presidents in the field on P&L/Cash Flow, inventory objectives, pricing projects, headcount justifications and operations initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide financial guidance and assistance to the assigned Business Unit. Prepare business plans, including annual operating plans, strategic plans, and product introduction financial plans. Compile monthly projections ensuring that the organization meets its financial targets; implement appropriate corrective action as needed. Prepare appropriate price-volume analyses to identify market trends and profitability impacts of market place factors. Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets; provide management with direction for achievement of corrective action, where necessary. Perform a financial review of all CER and DAR requests relating to the Business Unit. Coordinate the development, monitoring and implementation of inventory objectives for Business Unit. Assist in the preparation of and explanation of the P&L and Cash Flow for the management team. Generate financial reports for Business Unit. Involvement in auditing inventories. Ad-hoc responsibilities. Qualifications/Work Experience: 5+ years work experience in a business finance environment with a strong preference for experience in a field based selling organization. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Demonstrated proficiency in providing accurate financial analyses in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Demonstrated internal customer service skill. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE: Prior experience supporting front end business units such as marketing, sales organizations Experience with heavy analysis, forecasting
