Experienced and proficient in Database Administration principles required to support DB2 LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows) database system designed for high concurrent OLTP and reporting processing and availability. Understanding or multi-tier architecture, Java programming principles; experience with performance tuning, including query performance and database tune up for high concurrency access is essential. Good understanding of AIX, storage architecture, and network. Maintain well performing, manageable, stable and secure database environment. Deliver solutions on schedule, and in accordance with user requirements, departmental standards and procedures. Work with the application and project teams to formulate requirements. Provide on-call production support on a large 24x7 database operation. Troubleshoot production problems, if necessary liaison with other internal groups to arrive at a resolution of the problem. Install and configure database software in accordance with departmental standards and enterprise procedures. Skills: UDB, UNIX, AIX, Attention to detail, UNIX Scripting, SQL, Written communication, Veritas Additional Skills: Over 4 years experience with DB2 LUW. Expertise in a physical database design for high concurrency online application. We have multiple DBA Requirements in in different locations. Consultants with minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in related technology are highly preferred. Certification is a big plus.
