Crazy

Well, the scores are in, and apparently I'm too crazy to be an employee.

I went back to the company that made me do a 50 page psychological test when I applied. Even though the automated response e-mail said I'd be considered for 90 days after I applied, I wanted to double check since they had already lost my first application.
However, even though it had been less than a week since I applied, they already knew some things. I had scored a "yellow" on the test, meaning they wouldn't even consider me for an interview.
The lady was very nice about the whole thing, though. She told me to do the entire thing (again) but this time only choose answers of "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree". Those, apparently, are the two key answers to getting a job. There is no middle ground.

I wasn't aware that there were only two answers for every question. I didn't think life was that black and white. Stupid elitist jerks. To lie on a psychological test just doesn't feel right.

Bryan, let me apologize right now for not responding to your first post. It deserved immediate attention. Unfortunately, some time constraints prevented that.

Now, please DO *NOT* return to that business nor apply for *anything* there. Please know that an employer does not present an *applicant* with a psychological test before they've applied for a position. Nor does a potential employer force someone to do a psychological test before an initial screening interview. Additionally, a reputable employer will not tell an applicant that the psychological test is a job application form, nor will they send someone off blind to complete a *50* page battery without informing them of the length in terms of questions and expected time to complete.

Unfortunately, I think I know who this employer is and this is part of their brand. No doubt (if I'm correct), they also did not have *any* job descriptions available anywhere.

Chalk this one up to education. Look to some other places for legitimate, ethical employers.
