We are searching for an innovative, resourceful LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER to design, code and test web-based Java/J2EE applications.  This role will also be responsible for managing daily activities of a small team of on/off shore developers.  Here is your chance to mentor others, lead a team, make recommendations for improvements, support contracts of various $$$ size, AND design and construct complex software applications!  The position is located at our Nashville location. 
 
Here's what you will get to do:

• Architect and design web based applications in a 4-tiered architecture.


• Code Web pages applying multiple stylesheet for different visual qualities.


• Responsible for the coding and unit testing of web-based applications.


• Identify, find, and code less common character entitles.


• Manage a small team of development resources.


• Review business requirements taking logical programmatic concepts, physical designs, and materializing them into software solutions.


• Support QA in defect resolution.


• Provide recommendations for improving the eCommerce experience on a Web site, UI/IA, and Visual Design.

Here is what YOU will need to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field


• 6+ years of Java experience as a Software Development Engineer


• 2+ years of leading a team of software developers


• Strong understanding of web-based projects, off-shelf or customer facing website experience


• MUST have working experience with JSP, Java Servlets, XML, web services (SOAP)!


• MUST have proven abilities developing advanced functions, procedures, triggers using Oracle!


• Experience with CVS or similar source code control environment


• Current knowledge of relational database design concepts


• MUST have understanding of construction and QA steps in the SDLC


• It is a fast-paced, quick-change software release environment.  Have the talent and skill to adapt!


• MUST have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook


• Working knowledge with DTD and XSLT a plus!
