JAVA Web Developer - Consultant
Within Financial Asset Management technology department has an open position for a JAVA web programmer in the Global Fixed Income group. The Global Fixed Income front office technology team develops and supports systems used by the fixed income portfolio managers, traders and strategists. These systems facilitate the investment process from portfolio analysis, trade planning and execution through to risk management and performance attribution. The applicant should be prepared to support a new line of business that we are building which will requires a range of programming and analytic skills with a heavy focus on providing Web solutions for our business and clients. Applicant will also be looked to as an architect as we will be working from a blank slate in many cases. ? 5 + years relevant experience in:
Java - J2EE proficiency - Required to be VERY strong!
Struts, JSP, AJAX
Sybase DB
Unix/Linux environment scripting
Apache/Tomcat Webservers
? Ability to learn quickly and become productive in a short period of time in a complex environment
? Strong communication skills balanced with a desire to do heavy coding
? Entrepreneurial spirited person who enjoys working in a team environment
