Student Trainees in the Facilities Support Project Management area are responsible for working in partnership with our customers to provide tailored products and services to satisfy our customers' dynamic needs for facilities at competitive prices. Student Trainees in the Facilities Support Project Management area are responsible for creating safe, secure, functional work environments to support Agency global intelligence.
At entry/developmental levels, Student Trainees work under close guidance and supervision. Students will participate and coordinate the activities of well-defined facilities project(s). At this level, students participate in project planning, implementation, development of risk mitigation strategies, and ensure quality of a facilities project through testing and validation activities. They are responsible for one or more facilities project management activities throughout the life of a project. Based on assignment, a student may lead team members and contractors to achieve the project objectives and customer requirements or with guidance participate in the management of building support services and property management issues for small to medium size Agency facilities. Students participate in procurement activities in coordination with the assigned contracting officer and may perform Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) responsibilities. Students at this level are expected to perform general administrative duties and are expected to maintain current project management job knowledge and obtain appropriate certifications.
Minimum Requirements: Must be in the process of obtaining 4/5/6 year degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, architecture, construction or facilities management, hotel/restaurant management or food science at an accredited College or University and completion of the first two (2) years of a four (4) year technical degree in one of the degree programs cited. A minimum GPA of on a scale is also required. Applicant must be a self-starter able to work with a minimum of supervision in a fast paced environment. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent analytical skills.
Additional Desired Requirements: Prior co-op experience is desirable and preferably in the candidates field of study. A working knowledge of MS-Office including WORD, EXCEL, & POWERPOINT.
All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. citizenship is required.
To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
