The CIA Office of the Inspector General has openings for Information Auditors to conduct IS audits of CIA programs and activities. Most positions are in the Northern Virginia area, but opportunities for foreign travel are available.

Minimum requirements include a BS/BA in IS, accounting, finance, business management or a related field, with a minimum GPA of on a scale. Excellent oral and written communications skills, and the ability to assemble and assimilate large quantities of data, discern key issues and draw reliable conclusions are also required. Applicants with advanced degrees or certification as information systems auditors, public accountants or fraud examiners are preferred, as is 2-5 years' experience in government information systems audits.

Candidates will also be evaluated on their knowledge of computer applications and the theory function of major information management systems; ability to understand and assess complex information; ability to understand technology issues, analyze programs/activities, arrive at logical conclusions and recommend appropriate action; ability to work productively in a team environment and to interact with senior management; and knowledge of accounting/management concepts, principles and techniques.

All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.

To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
