FAA says, "I need to hire 12,500 people."


The Federal Aviation Administration plans a hiring spree to replace the thousands of air traffic controllers expected to retire in the next eight years. FAA Administrator Marion Blakey said Tuesday the agency plans to add 1,500 controllers in 2006 and continue hiring each year for a total of 12,500 controllers over 10 years.
