Why Do You Hate MBAs?
December 15, 2006 by matt warzelFor some reason recruiters and HR professionals don’t like MBAs. But if I subtract out the cocky bankers, and remove the rankings B.S. that for some reason, companies use to rule MBA recruiting, there’s actually some pretty great MBA talent in a number of disciplines…including HR.

Business Ethics are Cool
by matt warzelWhen I was in business school at the University of Chicago, Enron hadn’t collapsed yet. Jeff Skilling, Enron’s former CFO (and Harvard MBA), was accorded god-like status by most MBA students and a job offer from Enron was a guarantee of success and riches. Recruiting the Parents
by matt warzelThere is a very interesting article in the most recent addition of Fast Company that explains how businesses in India must “recruit” the parents of their intended hires. And while the percentage of young workers in their 20s and 30s that live with their parents is far higher in India than in the United States, it would seem that there’s a recruiting angle here that could be important in the years to come.
