March 26, 2012 by William FriersonHigh school students across the country are eagerly anticipating the arrival of college decision letters. For most students, acceptance is only the first hurdle. Money is the second and often bigger hurdle. Receiving a healthy financial aid package (scholarship-heavy, loan-light) can feel like hitting the college-funding jackpot. In some cases, you may even decide to attend a graduate program part-time while you work. One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Gold
by William Frierson“Succeeding is not really a life experience that does that much good. Failing is a much more sobering and enlightening experience.” – Micheal Eisner
There is nothing like a garage sale. The best ones are the ones where it is a town-wide sale. It is truly amazing the things that people will (try to) sell. Better yet, it is even more amazing the things that people will buy. Not to say that everything at a garage sale is junk. In fact, most of the items have real value and are just “looking for a new home”. But my favorite part of the garage sale is when it’s over and looking at the leftover items that find their way to the curb for trash pickup rather than back in the garage for next year’s sale. This is, of course, when the scavengers come out and collect their “gold” from the discarded items. By now I’m sure you’re wondering where this is going and how this can possibly have anything to do with job search – read on. Continue Reading -

No! Those responses could have been about anyone because they said nothing specific about who you are or what you did. Ladies and Gentleman, the old way of giving recommendations is dead! Hiring interns using the old method is really tough, which is why in this article you’re going to learn how we give killer recommendations that actually work! Continue Reading -
