How to Create a New Internship Program for Your Company

I've been assigned the task of creating an internship program for our company, but I don't know where to begin. Since our company has never had an internship program before, I'm unsure where to go for the information I need. Can you suggest some reliable sources?

I recently participated in an online teleseminar by Richard Bottner of Intern Bridge, whose registration fee included a copy of his excellent book, Total Internship Management. With advice based on input from the "largest survey ever to be conducted solely on the topic of internships," I found this book to contain a wealth of information which I've subsequently shared with organizations, including our local Chamber of Commerce who wanted to start a new internship program. Worth checking out at www.internbridge.com where you can read more about the internship studies they conduct, download free white papers and much more.

We have a number of white papers, including one about how to start a successful college recruiting program. See http://www.CollegeRecruiter.com/pages/white-papers.php. Oh yeah, they're free!
