The Kansas Territory continued to develop until November 22, 1858 when the city was near the best trails to handle trades between the state's merchants. Next, the town was separated into different parts: February 28, 1861 was when the Colorado Territory was established, Arapharoe County was established in November 1, 1861 and the town was formed into Denver City in November 7, 1861.
It was not until August 1, 1876 that Denver was announced the State Capital and admitted into the Union.
